The editing window is surrounded by icons that we encourage you to click - just to see what happens.
The above shows an editing window in "panorama" view in which the music is arranged left to right in an endless scroll. But if you click the "page view" icon at the upper right you'll see the same music presented for editing in a page view window, like this:
If you let the mouse hover over any tool icon a "tool tip" will pop up to let you know the purpose of that tool.
Though most commands are now found in popup windows, there is still a File menu and an Edit menu:
